Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on mobile/heavy equipment such as haul trucks, wheel loaders, dozers, and motor graders. The role involves troubleshooting engines, welding, electrical work, and hydraulics, with a focus on safety and quality compliance.

Responsibilities include completing PM work orders, documenting history in SAP, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Diesel engines and heavy equipment experience required.
• Welding, electrical and hydraulics skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mobile/heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot diesel and gasoline engine systems.
• Maintain maintenance records and PM work orders, including SAP entries.
• Follow safety policies and participate in safety meetings.
• Support SQF compliance and training initiatives.
