Job summary

Foley Equipment in Kansas and NW Missouri seeks a Field Equipment Technician to troubleshoot, service and repair heavy earthmoving machinery at customer worksites.

You will perform DOT inspections, diagnose problems, complete critical repairs, and travel for training or to assist at other Foley locations; CDL Class A is required or obtainable within three months.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL or able to obtain within three months.
• Basic mechanical knowledge including electrical and hydraulics.
• Ability to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature.
• Experience with CAT earthmoving equipment preferred.
• Willing to travel for training and to assist at other locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery at customer sites.
• Diagnose problems, make repair recommendations and perform critical repairs.
• Conduct required DOT inspections and ensure safety of service trucks.
• Test and verify operation after repairs and maintain customer relationships.
• Occasionally travel for training and support at other Foley locations.

This includes large and small earthmoving equipment.
