Job summary

C.N. Wood Co. is seeking a Service Tech/Mechanic in Westbrook, ME (and Woburn, MA) to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on heavy equipment.

The role requires basic troubleshooting, tool use, and the ability to work with a team under supervision. A minimum of 5 years’ technician experience is expected. Responsibilities include communicating with customers, performing repairs, ordering parts, and maintaining service records.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a technician.
• Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Experience with engines, transmissions, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Speak and work well with customers and co-workers.
• Communicate diagnosis and repair to customers and team.
• Promote a friendly work environment.
• Assist other technicians as needed.
• Look up and order parts for repairs.
• Take photos and upload to work orders for warranty repairs.
• Attend training as required (min 80 hours yearly).
• Work overtime as needed.
