Job summary

MB Companies, an Aebi Schmidt brand located in Muncy, seeks a Heavy Equipment Assembler to build and test electrical and mechanical assemblies for trucks and painted components.

You will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, calibrate units, inspect performance, and ensure quality and safety standards. A stable team environment with solid benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and schematic drawings.
• Works with electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Performs assembly to established specifications with quality standards.
• Uses hand and power tools and inspection equipment.
• Maintains clean and organized work area.

Heavy Equipment Assembler

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and schematic drawings.
• Assembles component parts for products according to established specifications, schedules, and standards of quality. Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners.
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools along with inspection equipment.
• Fits, trims, aligns, and adjusts parts and components.
• Attaches hardware and seals assembly.
• Solders, lugs, routes, and ties electrical components.
• Calibrates unit according to specification.
• Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies.
• Tests installed parts and accessories for leakage, continuity, and functionality. Performs inspections to ensure assemblies comply with applicable requirements.
• Crates, packs, and moves finished goods.
• Reports lot codes of components used in assemblies, and recording assemblies built.
• Disassembles and replaces parts as required.
• Reworks, repairs, or replaces faulty component parts.
• Enters information into established computer system, production records, logs, time clock, and other forms.
• Maintains clean work area.
• Assist in staging parts for painting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Assembles electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems by performing the following duties.
• Perform specialized functions in the assembly of electrical or electro-mechanical parts, assembly groups and arrangements to build primary truck products or paint equipment components.
• Work with electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches or written/verbal directions.
• Assemble component parts, utilizing appropriate hand tools.
• Perform striping truck set up functions and initial calibration.
• Inspect and test completed component assemblies and diagnose malfunctions and make necessary adjustments.
