Job summary

Monroe Truck Equipment, an Aebi Schmidt brand in Joliet, IL, seeks a Quality Control Technician to inspect interiors and exteriors of new heavy-duty chassis with vocational bodies and snow/ice equipment. You will verify compliance with finished goods standards and support incoming chassis inspection.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail, teamwork, and ability to perform pre-delivery tasks, document results with photos, and assist with training of staff. 1st shift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare custom trucks for delivery to customers.
• Clean interior and exterior of upfitted chassis and equipment.
• Use specialized cleaning equipment and materials.
• Conduct QC inspections to ensure finished trucks meet standards.
• Inspect paint, finish, and workmanship on vehicles.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs as required.
• Perform pre-delivery tasks (grease, doors, headlights).
• Return vehicles to shop for rework.
• Complete vehicle certification and apply labels.
• Take digital photos of completed vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of decals, touch-up paint, and supplies.
• Assist in training new TE Shop and QC staff.
• Support incoming chassis inspection process and data collection.
