Job summary

MERJ Fleet Services has a full-time tow truck operator position open for the right candidate with experience hooking heavy duty vehicles. Competitive compensation with company paid health and dental insurance and 401k match.

This position will require on call coverage and rotating overnight on-call responsibilities to better serve our customers. The role requires a Commercial Driver’s License Class A with tow endorsement and 4–6 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL class A with tow endorsement required.
• 4–6 years related experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform towing for emergency breakdowns.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area per OSHA standards.
• Follow safety procedures in all tasks.
• Recover wrecked vehicles.
• Document reports and invoices accurately.
• Work in a team-focused environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Pass random DOT drug/alcohol testing when required.
• Prepare DVIRs and Driver Logs as applicable.
• Review policies in the company handbook.
