Summit View Towing in Hamburg, PA is seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Tow Truck Operator / CDL Driver to perform recovery operations and vehicle towing. The role requires hands-on work, independent decision-making, and strong safety practices in field conditions.

You will operate heavy‑duty equipment, respond to roadside incidents, and ensure secure loading and transport while maintaining DOT compliance and professional communication with customers and accounts.

Qualifications

• Have a valid CDL Class A.
• Heavy‑duty towing or recovery experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Safety-conscious and professional equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty wreckers and recovery equipment.
• Tow and recover commercial vehicles and heavy‑duty equipment.
• Perform winch-outs and difficult recovery operations.
• Respond to roadside breakdowns and accident scenes.
• Safely rig, load, secure, recover, and transport vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
• Maintain and care for assigned equipment.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, law enforcement, and commercial accounts.
• Complete accurate job documentation.
• Identify and report equipment or safety issues.
• Follow DOT, CDL, and company safety requirements.
