Job summary

Penn Power Group is seeking a Carrier Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, and repair refrigeration units on commercial trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment. You will work with heavy‑duty systems, diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and keep accurate service records while adhering to safety standards.

Cross training in Detroit Diesel, Allison Transmission, and fleet repair is available, with a team‑oriented environment and competitive pay.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in heavy-duty refrigeration repair or maintenance.
  • Experience with commercial trucks, trailers, or industrial units preferred.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification required for handling refrigerants.
  • Ability to read blueprints, manuals and schematics; strong diagnostic skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and attention to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain and repair refrigeration units on trucks, trailers and equipment.
  • Diagnose issues, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and refrigeration cycles.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections; ensure safety compliance.
  • Recharge refrigerants and replace components like compressors, condensers, evaporators.
  • Maintain service records and complete repair orders promptly.
