Coffee Cup Travel Plazas TA Express in Summit, SD is seeking a Lube & Tire Technician to service heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You’ll perform maintenance, tire work, and basic diagnostics while ensuring customer safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy‑duty trucks, tires, lubrication or preventative maintenance preferred.
• Willingness to continue developing technical skills.
• Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Good verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently while also being a dependable team member.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and a fast-paced service environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, quality service to heavy‑duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and lubrication services.
• Inspect tires and perform mounting, dismounting, balancing, rotations and replacements as applicable.
• Inspect vehicles and identify worn, damaged, or unsafe components.
• Assist with basic diagnostics and repairs within training and capabilities.
• Communicate service needs and recommendations to customers and team.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Safely operate and maintain shop tools, equipment, and service areas.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with technicians, service team members, and management.
• Deliver professional and courteous service to create a positive customer experience.
