Job summary

Ten-8 Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Service Technician with automotive and heavy-duty maintenance experience to service emergency and rescue fleet vehicles in Pompano Beach, FL. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines and related systems to keep fleets ready for operation.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 3+ years in automotive maintenance, and a willingness to obtain ASE/EVT certification within 18 months; CDL preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three or more years of automotive mechanical maintenance experience.
• ASE and EVT are preferred but not required; willingness to obtain within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, adjust and test engines and moving parts.
• Inspect equipment to identify problems and defects.
• Perform routine maintenance and determine maintenance needs.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment.
• Raise trucks and heavy parts with hydraulic jacks or hoists.
• Recondition and replace parts such as pistons, bearings, gears, and valves.
• Troubleshoot operation problems and plan remedies.
• Install equipment to meet specifications.
• Complete paperwork as required.
