Job summary

Commercial Truck & Mobile Repair is expanding its West Phoenix facility and seeks an experienced Diesel Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers. The role blends shop work with field service, serving regional and national fleets.

You’ll work on engines from Caterpillar to International and transmissions from Eaton to Allison, collaborating with a team that values safety, quality, and professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three or more years of diesel technician experience preferred.
• Knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer systems, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and DOT inspections.
• CDL-A preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, organizational and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, maintain, and repair Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, tires, electrical systems, and other components.
• Perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and necessary repairs or component replacements.
• Complete service calls at customer locations and perform repairs in the shop as needed.
• Maintain service truck tools, equipment, and parts inventory; obtain parts from local vendors as necessary.
• Open and close repair orders using a company-issued iPad and accurately complete all required service documentation.
• Maintain productivity and work within established Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
