Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Diesel Technician in West Monroe, LA. The role involves diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty diesel trucks and fleet vehicles, including engines, electrical and HVAC systems, brakes, and aftertreatment components.

You will perform preventive maintenance, tire services, and use diagnostic software and tools. A high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, brake certification, and HVAC experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Brake certification required.
• AC certification preferred; equivalent HVAC diagnostic and repair experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty diesel trucks, buses, and fleet vehicles.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, HVAC systems, brakes, and aftertreatment components.
• Complete preventive maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid checks, inspections, and scheduled maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair air conditioning systems and related components.
• Inspect, service, and repair brake systems in accordance with certification standards.
• Mount, dismount, inspect, and replace tires as needed.
• Utilize diagnostic software, testing equipment, and repair tools to identify and correct vehicle issues.
• Maintain accurate repair documentation and communicate vehicle status to management.
