Job summary

The Larson Group Peterbilt is seeking an experienced Diesel Service Technician to join a dynamic team. This role performs all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair mechanic under minimal supervision.

You will diagnose and repair heavy-duty truck equipment, document repairs, maintain safety standards, and strive for efficiency while pursuing ongoing Peterbilt training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• Trade school or college certificate is preferred but not required.
• Experience in a related field is preferred but not required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic/mechanical repairs on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components.
• Testing when completed to ensure repairs are completed properly.
• Follow safety rules and company policies always.
• Communicate to Service Foreman regarding parts not available for repairs.
• Download and save to Paccar Solutions/Decisiv all relevant files and diagnostics.
• Record in detail the troubleshooting steps and results of repairs.
• Save and label warrantable parts and return to correct location.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and tools.
