I-State Truck Center is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Diesel Truck Mechanic in Blaine, MN. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience with diesel engines and diagnostic tools. CDL preferred; ASE certifications are a plus. Excellent communication with fleet managers will be valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy-duty diesel trucks (Kenworth, Peterbilt, Freightliner, Volvo, Mack).
• Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems; ECM diagnostics a must.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks using advanced diagnostic tools and manuals.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance including oil changes, filters, tires, brakes and lubrication.
• Replace or repair engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers and brake systems as needed.
• Weld or fabricate minor structures to repair or modify frames or components.
• Document service reports, parts used and maintenance for warranty and DOT compliance.
• Interact with fleet managers/drivers to explain repairs and provide recommendations.
