Adams Crane Hire And Rigging / Superior Crane and Rigging in the Tampa market is seeking a mobile crane service technician responsible for diagnostics, preventive maintenance and component identification across crane systems.

The role requires a strong background in electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics and PC-controlled systems, with willingness to travel for field work and to collaborate with supervisors and team members.

Qualifications

• Mechanic experience
• Diagnostics minimum 3 years mechanical experience
• Experience or Training in both electrical and mechanical fields
• Ability to drive a company service truck

Responsibilities

• Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
• Carry out preventative maintenance programs
• Must be able to identify all types of crane components
• Must have a strong background in electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics, and computer-controlled systems
• Identify and request replacement parts to perform repairs
• Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements
• Examine parts for damage and excessive wear
• Read and understand operating manuals, part manuals and blueprints
• Ability to work overtime and some weekends; travel is required periodically for field work; a valid driver's license and vehicle are needed
• Must be capable of communicating effectively and professionally with supervisors and other personnel
