Job summary

Northern Star Mining Services is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic/Fitter to join our team at the Pogo Gold Mine in Alaska, USA. This full-time international secondment offers FIFO from any Australian capital city.

You will service underground mobile equipment, diagnose faults, and perform preventative maintenance on Sandvik and Epiroc fleets, with opportunities for career development and access to income protection and health insurance.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised mechanical trade qualification.
• Minimum ‘C’ Class unencumbered Manual Drivers License.
• Practical experience working within a heavy-duty environment.
• Excellent fault-finding skills with the ability to carry our preventative and breakdown maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Utilising your skills and knowledge to complete maintenance tasks on underground mobile and associated ancillary equipment.
• Undertake diagnostic, breakdowns, preventative maintenance to a high standard.
• Complete work in a safe and timely manner.
• Provide technical advice and support to fellow Maintenance team members.
• Working with our latest low hour Sandvik and Epiroc Fleet.
