Solid Rock Recruiting, LLC is actively hiring a Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead underground utility, water, and sewer projects from preconstruction through closeout.

You will travel roughly three out of four weeks, including overnight stays, with company coverage for travel, lodging, and per diem. Compensation ranges from $85,000 to $130,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility and benefits.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in heavy civil underground utility construction.
• Experience with water or sewer construction and understanding of field operations, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.
• Estimating background is helpful.

Responsabilités

• Manage underground utility, water, and sewer projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Promote a strong safety culture through site visits, planning, and coordination with field leadership.
• Develop project budgets, scopes of work, schedules, and execution plans.
• Review drawings, specifications, permits, and contract requirements; identify and resolve project issues.
• Coordinate with customers, engineers, superintendents, crews, and subcontractors, providing clear project updates.
• Lead preconstruction meetings, manage subcontractor schedules, review invoices, and track costs and changes.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and monitor progress against budget and schedule.
• Use HCSS, HeavyJob, Vista View, Bluebeam, P6, and Microsoft Project to support daily project management.

Heavy Civil Project Manager — Underground Utilities

Location: North Denver, CO & Other Nationwide projects | Travel required
Compensation: $85,000–$130,000 annually, based on experience, plus bonus eligibility

We are recruiting a Project Manager for a heavy civil contractor specializing in underground utilities, water, and sewer construction. The company serves clients nationwide, with projects typically lasting one to three years.

This role combines hands-on project leadership with time at the corporate office. Expect to travel approximately three out of four weeks each month, including overnight stays as project needs require. The company covers business travel, lodging, and per diem.

What you’ll do

• Manage underground utility, water, and sewer projects from preconstruction through closeout.

What we’re looking for

• Experience with water or sewer construction and an understanding of field operations, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• An estimating background is helpful.

• A degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred.

• Proficiency with common office software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel nationwide on the schedule described above.
