Job summary

The Great Lakes Construction Co. is seeking a Heavy Civil Bridge Superintendent to lead safety, quality, and timely execution of bridge projects on-site in Cincinnati, OH.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering or construction‑related degree preferred, with 10+ years supervising bridge construction projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage complex projects.
• Experience supervising heavy civil bridges, especially in Cincinnati, OH.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and drive project completion.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.

JOB PURPOSE

The Heavy Civil Bridge Superintendent is responsible for managing the safety, quality, efficiency, and timely execution of bridge construction projects. This position requires on-site coordination for all phases of the project, including materials, equipment, subcontractors, and labor. In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined below, the Heavy Civil Bridge Superintendent must be organized, have strong judgment, communicate effectively, and possess technical expertise in concrete and steel bridge structures. REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of experience in construction

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time, exempt position. While the standard workweek is typically 40 hours, the emphasis is placed on fulfilling the responsibilities of the Heavy Civil Bridge Superintendent.
