Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathers parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements; assembles components; fastens parts and subassemblies; verifies specifications by measuring completed component; alters dimensions to meet specifications.
• Maintains equipment by performing preventive maintenance; troubleshoots malfunctions; calls for repairs.
• Keeps a safe, clean work environment by following procedures and regulations; documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Maintains supplies by checking stock, anticipating needs, and placing orders; verifies receipt.
