Job summary
Champion Personnel is seeking a Heat Treat Operator / Manufacturing Technician for an industrial facility in Willoughby, OH. The role offers weekday full-time hours with two shifts and overtime opportunities on weekends.
Pay ranges from $21.16 to $21.26 per hour, with additional overtime as needed. Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience in machine operation, furnace operation, metal processing, and material handling.
Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or machine operation
- Basic mechanical knowledge and math skills
- Ability to read work instructions and production paperwork
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Willingness to obtain forklift certification and weekend overtime
Responsibilities
- Set up, load, and unload industrial heat-treating equipment
- Operate furnaces, bake ovens, deep-freeze units, and related machinery
- Follow shop orders, process specifications, and detailed work instructions
- Inspect, identify, and mark parts to maintain quality and lot control
- Prepare thermocouples and monitor processing requirements
- Use forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and hoists
- Report equipment issues, safety concerns, and process deviations
- Assist with packing, shipping, receiving, and general material handling
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area
