Job summary

Acuren Inspection is recruiting Heat Treat Technician II in North Dakota to support Fall Turnaround work. You will perform heat treatment operations, set up furnaces, ovens, and quenching systems according to process specs, and verify temperature and time parameters to ensure conformance.

This role requires 2+ years of heat treat experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to train junior technicians while maintaining documentation and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in Heat Treat field.
• Must be able to pass an extensive background check.
• Must be able to pass company drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform heat treatment operations and set up furnaces, ovens, and quenching systems per specifications.
• Interpret work orders and verify temperature and time parameters.
• Conduct hardness testing and basic microstructure checks to verify metallurgical standards.
• Troubleshoot process deviations and identify equipment irregularities.
• Maintain accurate process documentation and data records.
• Train and support junior technicians.
