Job summary

Arnold Magnetic Technologies Corporation in Woodstock, IL is seeking a Machine Operator for Heat Treat on first shift. You will operate heat-treating equipment including gas and electric furnaces, induction heat, stress, cooling, and demagnetizing equipment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, setting temperatures and cycles, maintaining production records, and assisting with furnace maintenance. A High School diploma and 1–3 years of manufacturing experience are required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in manufacturing and machine operations.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blue prints and routing information.
• Ability to manage time and work flow to optimize efficiency.
• Strong communication skills to support customer requirements.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Determine sequences of varied operations to obtain optimum results.
• Load pre-heat and high-heat furnaces to prescribed temperatures.
• Unload parts and place in stressing equipment.
• Set rectifiers, jigs, temperatures, cycles, stress and cooling period.
• Load draw barrels, check performance and adjust as needed.
• Investigate causes for machine shut-offs and report findings.
• Maintain records of job and production data.
• Assist in maintenance and repair of furnaces.
