Qualifications

• HS diploma (or GED) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining industrial machinery or equipment.
• Familiarity with quality assurance processes and maintaining production records.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain assigned machines and equipment.
• Perform refractory repairs on furnaces and other heat-treating equipment.
• Follow established paperwork procedures, quality assurance protocols, and shop floor policies.
• Operate furnaces using the Distributive Control System (DCS).
• Maintain accurate and detailed heat-treating records.
• Ensure adherence to strict parts specifications during production.
• Learn and apply Lean Manufacturing concepts to improve efficiency.
• Evaluate product quality and make minor equipment adjustments to meet quality standards.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
