Qualifications

  • Two years of professional experience in the practice of law, legal research, teaching law, or in administrative or judicial hearings.
  • Florida Bar license in good standing is required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct fair hearings in accordance with agency procedures, policies, and applicable laws.
  • Prepare clear, well researched legal opinions at the request of Chief Legal Counsel and General Counsel.
  • Provide legal insight by reviewing documents, manuals, rules, and proposed/existing legislation.
  • Work with AHCA teams to develop and review legislation and support implementation of new laws.
