Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized training in Hearing Instrument Sciences or related field preferred.
• Certification as Hearing Instrument Specialist is often required.
• Experience in a similar role is preferred; entry-level considered with relevant education.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct thorough hearing evaluations to determine type and degree of loss.
• Select and fit appropriate hearing aids; adjust and educate on use and care.
• Provide regular follow-up to monitor performance and make adjustments.
• Maintain confidential client records and documentation per standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with audiologists and other clinicians to interpret data and make recommendations.
• Stay current with hearing device technology and participate in continuing education.
• Adhere to legal, ethical, and professional standards in care delivery.
