Job summary

Harbor Audiology in Port Angeles, WA is seeking a Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) to join our privately owned audiology practice and provide patient-centered care for all ages.

Qualifications

• Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist (or eligible for licensure in WA).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and sales skills.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
• Excellent organization and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to delivering individualized, top-tier patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations for patients ages 5 and up.
• Provide patient-centered care, education, and counseling.
• Fit and program hearing aids using REM and best practices.
• Take earmold impressions and manage follow-up care and adjustments.
• Advocate for the best hearing solutions tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication with referring physicians.
• Participate in community outreach events (health fairs, senior living events, etc.).
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and company policies.
