Family of Kidz in Wappinger Falls, NY is seeking a Teacher of the Hearing Impaired for flexible, fee-for-service work. You will assess and support deaf and hard-of-hearing students, implement IEP goals, and collaborate with school teams and parents.

Applicants must hold NYS Certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing, have experience with IEPs, and be a team player with strong communication and organization, ready to adapt to a dynamic educational environment.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold NYS Certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
• Experience designing and implementing assessments and IEP-related goals.
• Excellent communication with parents, teachers, and school teams.
• Ability to manage time and organize data for quarterly IEP progress reporting.

Responsibilities

• Initial and ongoing assessments for deaf and hard of hearing students.
• Provide instruction and support to develop skills in IEP goals.
• Collect data on IEP goals and report progress quarterly.
• Communicate with lead supervisors and school teams.
• Maintain attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
• Participate in professional development to stay current in best practices.
• Maintain professionalism with parents and professionals.
• Attend CSE meetings.
