USpireND has an exciting opportunity within the Healthy Families Program as a Family Support Specialist. This position offers room for considerable growth within the organization. As a Family Support Specialist your role is responsible for building trusting relationships with families based on the Healthy Families America model. The FSS will visit families virtually, in their homes or other established location to provide support in establishing positive home environments, promoting strong attachments through parent child relationships, and encouraging the well‑being of children and families. Utilizing a strengths‑based approach the FSS will practice reflective strategies to strengthen parent‑child relationships, improve parenting skills, teach effective problem solving and reduce family stress.
Healthy Families ND started in 2000. We provide home visiting in all counties in North Dakota. We understand that every family’s parenting journey is unique. We develop a plan based on each family’s needs to help them thrive.
Up to 20% travel and travel typically within a 75-mile radius.
Working most typically in an office or home setting with clients.
Regularly required to sit; frequently required to reach with hands and arms, walk, navigate stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch; must be able to lift objects up to 25 pounds.
