Job summary

GE HealthCare offers an Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) Software internship where interns join real engineering teams to work on impactful software projects under mentor guidance.

Assignments may include designing, testing, and debugging features, developing internal tools, data analytics, visualization, and creating technical documentation. Interns must be enrolled in an undergrad or master's program and be willing to relocate to Milwaukee/Waukesha, WI for a minimum of 10 weeks.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or master’s degree program and plan to continue studies after Summer 2027.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering (with a focus on software), or a closely related field.
• Strong academic performance (GPA).
• Required Skillset must include: Java, C++, and/or Python.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical problems and solutions in clear and simple terms.
• Demonstrated analytical ability and technical competency in Computer Engineering or Computer Science areas.
• Strong initiative with the ability to work independently and in teams.
• Proven leadership skills and/or experience.
• Able to work for a minimum of 10 consecutive weeks.
• Willing to relocate to Milwaukee/Waukesha, WI or other applicable GE HealthCare site as defined in role selection; relocation assistance and housing stipend available.

Responsibilities
