Job summary

RiverView Health, Crookston, MN, seeks a Purchasing/Inventory Agent to manage procurement, inventory levels, and supplier contracts for the hospital and clinics. The role supports patient care through cost-effective supply management and continuous improvement initiatives.

The position emphasizes contract compliance, data analytics, and collaboration with care teams. A 5+ year healthcare supply chain background and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School graduation or equivalent required.
• Preferred: Associate or BA degree in SCM, Business, Healthcare Admin, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years healthcare supply chain, materials management, or purchasing experience.
• Experience using MMIS, EPIC, Lawson or similar systems.
• Professional certifications: CMRP, CPSM, CPP.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician experience; 340B knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports procurement, contracting, and inventory management to ensure timely, cost-effective supplies for patient care.
• Maintains inventory levels, negotiates contracts, and monitors supplier performance.
• Documents contracts in the Supply Chain Information System and educates staff on contracts and system updates.
• Participates in cost-saving initiatives and continuous process improvement across the system.
