Job summary

US Military Treatment Facilities under DHA in Tacoma, WA, is seeking a Statistician (Medicine) to support preparation, review, approval, conduct, and publication of research involving human, animal, and bench science.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree including 15 semester hours in statistics (or math and statistics with at least 6 stats hours) and 9 additional semester hours in science, medicine, education, or engineering; or in social sciences including demography, health sociology, etc.
• Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in relevant health sciences, biostatistics, epidemiology, or related fields.
• A combination of education and experience may qualify if the computed percentages reach 100% and transcripts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Apply statistical methods to evaluate healthcare programs, clinical outcomes, or population health data.
• Analyze complex healthcare datasets using statistical software.
• Present findings to healthcare providers, researchers, or leadership to support informed decision-making.

Education

Bachelor's degree with statistics coursework

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Health Sciences/Biostatistics/Epidemiology
