Owensboro Community & Technical College is seeking a Simulation Education Specialist to support HealthForce Kentucky in collaboration with college faculty. You will help develop simulation-based training, uphold standards, and optimize educator use of equipment for student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, radiography, paramedicine or similar is required.
• Six years of relevant work experience are required with the bachelor’s degree option.
• Current, active, or previously held licensure in a clinical healthcare profession is required.
• Prior experience with patient care is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a simulation content expert with those wanting to use new resources and new instructional methods, with a clear roadmap for each event.
• Balance resources, manage logistics and ensure events are fully prepared.
• Meet accreditation standards while training facilitators in simulation development, facilitation, debriefing, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with course facilitators to design curricula that integrate best practices of simulation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
