Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Security Officer to protect patients, guests and staff. You will enforce safety rules, inspect sites, investigate incidents, and participate in emergency drills, reporting promptly and maintaining certifications.

A High School diploma, 1 year of relevant experience, BLS, a valid driver's license, CPI training, and IAHSS certification within 90 days are required. The role requires strong communication, computer literacy for data entry, and the ability to work in a team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Must have basic life support (BLS) certification and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Enforces all safety and security rules on company property.
• Conducts routine inspections of on-site and off-site locations.
• Investigates accidents and reports promptly.
• Performs opening/lockdown duties as approved by Administration.
• Participates in emergency response and drills.
