Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto policy.
• Must maintain required security certifications.
• Must demonstrate the ability to write comprehensive security reports.
• Must successfully complete Banner Health Basic Officer Academy.
• Fingerprints clearance within 60 days of hire.
• Professional appearance and strong verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills and be customer service oriented in all contacts with patients, visitors and staff.
• Responds to emergency codes for assistance and control; patrols and inspects facilities frequently.
• Assist medical staff, restrain troubled/combative patients, secure doors and monitor alarms.
• Maintain logs and write incident reports; assist with investigations and follow-up actions.
• Testifies in criminal court or state hearings when required.
• Interact with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
