Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Security Officer for the night shift to protect patients, staff, and visitors within a healthcare environment. The role requires vigilance, incident response, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain safety and security.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current valid driver’s license is required; CPI/NCI Certification must be completed upon hire.
• AVADE Workplace Violence Prevention Levels I–III, BLS CPR/AED, and AHA Heart-Saver certifications are required.
• First Aid, Stop the Bleed, Nasal Naloxone certifications and Safe Environment training are required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact across diverse cultures.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Check for unsafe conditions, unlock doors, and identify security violations.
• Prepare logs and reports; respond to codes and alarms.
• Coordinate with local police, fire, and emergency personnel; respond to medical emergencies.
