Qualifications

• Must maintain required security certifications.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.
• Ability to make observations and exercise independent judgment (including emergencies).
• Must complete Banner Health Basic Officer Academy.
• Professional appearance and demeanor; strong verbal communication.
• Must qualify and maintain proficiency with assigned non-lethal weapons.
• Must demonstrate ability to perform physical requirements; skills testing will occur.

Responsibilities

• Patrol facilities and grounds; assist in safety of personnel and patients; investigate incidents.
• Respond to emergency codes; conduct patrols and inspections; enforce parking regulations.
• Assist medical staff with handling troubled/combative patients; monitor alarms.
• Maintain knowledge of laws/regulations; potential citizen arrest when needed.
• Utilize non-lethal weapon per policy and training.
• Investigate and file written reports; maintain incident logs.
• Testify in court/hearings when required; support confidentiality of health documents.
• Coordinate with leadership and external agencies during emergencies.
