Job summary

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Security Officer I to safeguard patients, visitors, staff and property. You will conduct patrols, monitor surveillance, and respond to incidents while maintaining a secure, welcoming environment.

The role requires at least 1 year in security or related fields, a high school diploma or equivalent, and certifications such as POST, MCPP, IAHSS, and BLS. Healthcare experience is strongly preferred, and precision in report writing is essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of security, law enforcement, fire, military, safety, EMS or customer service experience.
• Healthcare experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive Children’s vehicles as needed.
• Patrol assigned locations on foot or by vehicle; report irregularities.
• Preserve order and enforce organizational regulations and directives.
• Investigate incidents and write reports with timelines and statements.
• Respond to emergencies and act as first responder to incidents.
• Collaborate with multiple departments and agencies to ensure safety.
• Complete incident investigations and accurate reporting.
