Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Utility Worker I in Warren, OH to maintain cleanliness across patient areas, work areas, offices and public spaces. You will perform cleaning tasks, transport waste, and ensure supplies are replenished while adhering to safety regulations.

No prior experience is required as on-the-job training is provided; prior housekeeping experience is a plus. This role emphasizes professionalism with patients and staff and supports a mission-driven workplace.

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to write and understand written and oral communications.

Responsibilities

• Performs sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and additional cleaning functions.
• Transports trash, hazardous waste, soiled linen, and recyclable trash to disposal areas.
• Replenishes supplies and materials in assigned areas and patient rooms.
• Inspects areas to ensure they are cleaned and in good repair; reports problems.
• Follows all safety and sanitation regulations; uses PPE properly.
• Other duties as assigned.
