Job summary

University of Chicago Physician's Group is seeking a Healthcare Business Analyst to optimize revenue cycle management, analyze denial trends, and provide actionable insights to clinical departments. You will collaborate with AR and IT teams to improve processes and use BI dashboards for reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in healthcare revenue cycle, strong data analysis skills, and experience with EPIC or EHR systems, with a focus on accuracy and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in healthcare revenue cycle management, billing, or financial analysis.
• Experience with EPIC or other EHR systems is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and BI dashboards.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Analyze denial trends and root causes to identify areas for improvement.
• Present findings on denial trends and recovery options at management and clinical department meetings.
• Collaborate with AR management and clinical departments to develop action plans.
• Utilize BI dashboards to identify denial or AR opportunities; generate reports and metrics.
• Respond to data requests from different University of Chicago Physician's Group areas with timely analysis.
• Review payer policy updates monthly and assess potential impacts on revenue cycle processes.
• Review high-dollar write-offs and identify improvement areas; escalate significant findings to leadership.
• Analyze AR data to identify payer-specific trends and optimize revenue cycle processes.
• Collaborate with IT to update EPIC and improve processes; ensure accurate posting of professional fees.
