MedElite Group in Brooklyn, NY seeks an Associate Counsel to provide hands-on legal support across a multistate healthcare services organization. This attorney will advise leadership on healthcare regulatory, reimbursement, employment, contractual, and general corporate matters.

This is a hands-on, business‑oriented role requiring strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with cross-functional

Qualifications

• JD and active New York bar membership.
• Approximately 4–7 years of relevant legal experience.
• Healthcare law experience, preferably representing healthcare providers.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, reimbursement, and healthcare compliance.
• Employment-law and general corporate experience.
• Strong drafting, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise on healthcare regulatory, reimbursement, compliance, and operational matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate provider, employment, vendor, and commercial agreements.
• Manage responses to governmental and third‑party inquiries, reviews, and information requests.
• Provide employment‑law guidance, including policies, accommodations, discipline, and terminations.
• Research legal developments and recommend practical risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Manage outside counsel when specialized legal expertise is required.
• Support general corporate and legal matters as needed.
