Job summary

Palms Medical Group in High Springs, FL seeks a Healthcare Quality Data Analyst to turn clinical, operational, and population health information into actionable insights for quality improvement and value-based care performance. This onsite role uses EMR and connected data sources to build dashboards and guide organizational decision making.

You will analyze quality and utilization trends, identify high-risk populations, and support reporting, including UDS and payer data, while collaborating

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or relevant experience preferred.
  • Background in Public Health, Health Informatics, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or Nursing.
  • Knowledge of CQI principles, practices, methods, and tools.
  • Ability to analyze QI data, identify trends, and determine corrective actions.
  • Experience navigating the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Current BLS (basic life support) Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Develop quality dashboards using EMR and data sources.
  • Conduct population health analyses and analyze utilization trends.
  • Identify high-risk patient populations and monitor quality measure performance.
  • Support reporting, including UDS, payer/value-based data, and provider performance.
  • Manage interfaces with EMR and data feeds (ENS/ADT, registries, payer feeds, SFTP, HIE).
  • Validate population health and clinical measure calculations.
  • Analyze population care gap closure and quality improvement project efforts.
  • Analyze outreach effectiveness and support value-based care analytics.
  • Assess risk adjustment opportunities and perform incentive performance analysis.
  • Analyze hospitalization and ED utilization trends and ROI of interventions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Clinical Compliance Officer and/or CEO.

Job description

Palms Medical Group is seeking a Healthcare Quality Data Analyst to turn clinical, operational, and population health information into insights that support quality improvement and value-based care performance. This onsite role in High Springs, FL uses EMR and connected data sources to build dashboards, analyze quality and utilization trends, and help guide organizational decision making.

What you will do
  • Use EMR and other data sources to develop quality dashboards for organizational operations.
  • Conduct population health analyses and analyze utilization trends.
  • Identify high-risk patient populations and monitor quality measure performance.
  • Support and analyze barriers related to reporting, including UDS, payers/value-based contract data, provider performance, and organization performance by location.
  • Manage interfaces with the EMR and data from applications and feeds such as ENS/ADT, registries, payer feeds, SFTP feeds, and other HIE platforms.
  • Validate population health and clinical measure calculations.
  • Analyze population care gap closure and quality improvement project efforts.
  • Analyze outreach effectiveness and support value-based care analytics through data extraction support.
  • Assess risk adjustment opportunities and perform incentive performance analysis.
  • Analyze hospitalization and ED utilization trends, and evaluate return on invest from selected interventions and tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Clinical Compliance Officer and/or the CEO.
