Job summary

Shepley Bulfinch in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Healthcare Job Captain to lead design teams on institutional healthcare projects and collaborate with clients and senior leadership. The role offers growth toward a Healthcare Planner path and exposure to a broad range of project scales.

Responsibilities include translating stakeholder visions into space programs, integrating regulatory and engineering requirements, and guiding planning and scheduling to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience on architectural projects (all phases).
• Experience in healthcare design is required or strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit and Affinity Suite.
• Registered architect preferred (candidates pursuing licensure considered).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of stakeholders' vision, goals, and spatial needs, and synthesize with design concepts.
• Work with project team to integrate equipment, regulatory, engineering, and interior design elements into cohesive building designs.
• Lead internal planning efforts as needed, monitor tasks, and ensure deadlines and milestones are met within project schedules.
