Job summary

HDR Virginia studios are seeking a Project Architect to lead multidiscipline design efforts for healthcare projects. You will coordinate teams, develop architectural drawings, and ensure code compliance across multiple project phases.

The role requires a Registered Architect with a Bachelor's in Architecture and at least 5 years of experience, plus proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and related tools. Local candidates are preferred and the position is on site in Virginia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field is required.
• Experience with healthcare, education, civic and research facilities is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidiscipline team and perform layout and detailing on architectural projects.
• Coordinate work across disciplines through multiple project phases.
• Participate in owner/client meetings and reviews for code compliance.
• Conduct site visits with Project Manager and other disciplines.
• Review documents for conflicts and perform QA/QC.
