Job summary

UST in Seattle, Washington, is seeking an experienced Functional Test Lead with deep healthcare payer domain expertise across Claims, Enrollment, Billing, Provider, and EDI transactions.

You will lead functional discovery workshops with business, product, and testing stakeholders, assess processes and testing scope, and ensure release readiness while defining the future-state testing organization with Architecture, Automation, and TDM teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Functional Testing or Quality Engineering.
• 5+ years leading testing programs or managed services engagements.
• 5+ years experience in Facets healthcare system.
• Experience in discovery, due diligence, and transition assessments.
• Experience in workforce planning and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional discovery workshops with business, product, application, and testing stakeholders.
• Assess business processes, application landscape, testing scope, dependencies, and quality practices.
• Evaluate test coverage, requirements traceability, release readiness, and defect management processes.
• Identify gaps across functional testing, UAT support, governance, and operating models.
• Define future-state functional testing organization, roles, staffing, and knowledge requirements.
• Support KT, transition planning, shadow/reverse-shadow activities, and ownership transfer.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Automation, Performance, and TDM teams to shape the target-state testing model.
• Develop transition roadmaps, KPIs, SLAs, governance frameworks, and transformation recommendations.
