Job summary

Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking a Materials Services Coordinator II in Chicago. The role involves preparing, issuing, and delivering linen and medical/surgical supplies, plus recording activity and maintaining inventories.

You will work 40 hours per week, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with every other weekend and holidays. The position is non-exempt with overtime eligibility and offers benefits to new employees starting after the first of the month.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or acceptable equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience w/ materials handling, preferably in a Healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, issuing, delivering, checking and documenting linen and medical/surgical supplies.
• Issuing supplies and equipment from storeroom, central sterile processing and vendor source shipments.
• Labeling products and placing into storage locations; replenishing inventories.
• Count and maintain supply and linen levels as established by management.
• Responding to customer requests for supplies and linen needs.
• Completing work from previous shift to accommodate department schedules.
• Maintaining clean and orderly work area and owning assigned route.
• Performing routine assessment for expired product and resolving issues promptly.
• Takes inventory and places orders; uses systems to record activity and issue credits.
• Maintains logs/records for all processes.
• Rotating through MSC II assignments for cross-training.
• Dispenses and delivers materials via tube system elevator or manual/power equipment.
