Job summary

NBBJ Seattle is seeking a Healthcare Market Leader to drive growth in the Healthcare Practice across the Pacific Northwest and beyond, partnering with healthcare clients to improve performance and expand relationships with medical planners, designers, and delivery experts. The role requires a 15+ year track record in healthcare design, strong client development skills, and licensure or an equivalent certification.

ACHA, EDAC, and LEED AP are valued.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in the design profession with a focus in healthcare design.
• At least 5 years’ experience in an architecture and design firm in client development and/or management of practice group with client development responsibilities.
• Licensure or equivalent professional certification.
• ACHA, EDAC, and LEED AP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Expand NBBJ’s presence in the Pacific Northwest through increased client engagement and activity in healthcare.
• Be a trusted advisor to clients, a senior leader on select projects, and a mentor for staff.
• Develop new and existing client relationships through deep understanding of client enterprise needs regionally and nationally.
• Generate a strong pipeline—leads and prospects—to increase the Healthcare Practice’s reach.
• Network with industry leaders, owner reps, PMs, GC’s, and consultants to uncover opportunities.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Practice Leadership and Marketing teams to identify and generate business.
• Provide strategy and content for pre-positioning, proposals, interviews, and marketing materials to increase visibility and win rate.
• Advance the Healthcare practice’s reputation through presentations, thought leadership, and social media.
• Lead strategic relationships and contribute to growth on regional, national, and international levels.

NBBJ Seattle is seeking a Healthcare Market Leader. We seek a Leader for our award-winning Healthcare Practice to drive growth in our domestic commissions throughout the Pacific Northwest, and more broadly across the West Coast region where relationships and opportunity align. We are looking for a leader passionate about partnering with healthcare clients to improve performance.
The NBBJ Market Leader is an industry-facing expert whois motivated to nurture client relationshipsand pursue new opportunities that elevate healthcare experiences for patients, clinicians' staff, and communities. They are eager to be valued experts in NBBJ’s networked ecosystem of medical planners, designers and healthcare delivery experts who transform healthcare facilities for academic medical centers, national healthcare systems, community hospitals and outpatient providers.
Market Leaders shape NBBJ’s global practice at the regional, national, and international levels, advancing our commitment to innovation and design excellence.Adept at building long‑term strategic relationships, playing a leadership role on projects, and marketing complex projects, this role will work closely with the firm’s Healthcare Practice Leadership team and Marketing Department to build the practice, identify new opportunities, as well as develop client service strategies to grow the practice throughout Washington and Oregon. The ideal candidate for this role can work both collaboratively and independently, is proactive in delivering success, is able to positively influence others—and can thrive in the face of changing conditions.

In Your New Role, You Will

• Expand NBBJ’s presence in the Pacific Northwest through increased client engagement and activity, focusing on the Healthcare sector.
• Be a trusted advisor to clients, a senior leader on select projects, and a role model/mentor for all staff.
• Develop new and existing client relationships through a deep understanding of client enterprise needs, regionally and nationally
• Generate a strong pipeline—leads and prospects—to increase theHealthcarePractice’s reach and influence.
• Network with industry leaders, owner rep PMs, GC’s, consultants to uncover client opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Healthcare Practice Leadership Team,and Healthcare West Coast Marketing Leadership to identify and generate business thatbroadens theHealthcare practice in alignment with the firm’s strategic vision
• Provide strategy and content for pre-positioning, proposals, interviews, and other marketing content to increase our visibility and win rate.
• Advance the Healthcare practice’s reputation through conference presentations, thought leadership and social media communications.

What You Will Need To Succeed

• Expertise inHealthcare-relatedarchitecturefield and overall design and construction industry and knowledge of delivery for complex healthcare projects.
• 15+ years of experience in the design profession with a focus in healthcare design.
• Strong relationships and connections with clients in Washington and the larger West Coast Region
• Demonstrated experiencemotivatingand developingteams, internally and externally, to advance market-related projects.
• Results-oriented: strives to reach success for the client’s and organization’s goals.
• At least 5 years’ experience in an architecture and design firm in client development, and/or management of practice group with client development responsibilities and a proven track record of success.
• A great communicatorandstoryteller that is passionate and engages people.
• Licensure or equivalent professional certification.
• Commitment to sustainable and equitable design.
• ACHA, EDAC, and LEED AP are a plus.

The annual base pay range for this role is anticipated to be between $145,000 and $175,000. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.

This role requires the individual to be based in the United States.
