Baptist Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare system in Florida, seeks a Professional & General Liability Claims Manager to oversee investigations, evaluation, and resolution of complex claims across its integrated network. The role partners with Risk Management, Legal Counsel, insurers, and TPAs to minimize loss and improve patient safety outcomes.

Estimated compensation ranges from six figures, reflecting experience in claims, risk management, and leadership within a large health system.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Nursing, Legal Studies, or related field required.
• Master’s degree, JD, RN, or other advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum six (6) years of progressively responsible claims, risk management, litigation management, healthcare liability, or related experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Healthcare professional liability (medical malpractice) claims experience strongly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage, investigate, evaluate, and resolve professional liability and general liability claims across a large health system.
• Collaborate with Risk Management, Patient Safety, Legal Counsel, insurers, TPAs, captives, and operational leadership.
• Oversee the life cycle of claims and litigation, including incident review, coverage analysis, reserves, settlements, defense counsel management, reporting, and trend analysis.
• Serve as a senior leadership resource regarding liability exposures, emerging risks, and insurance program performance.
