Job summary

Touchpoints at Chestnut in East Windsor, CT is seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant for a full-time role. You will collect and sort soiled linen, load and unload industrial washers/dryers, and fold clean linen and laundry to maintain a steady supply for patient care areas.

You will also count linen processed daily and deliver to assigned areas, with attention to cleanliness and safety in a healthcare environment. Prior healthcare exposure is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to clean clothing and facility linen.
• Must be able to operate computerized washers and dryers and understand how these machines work.
• Must be able to speak, read and write the English language clearly and understandably.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Some previous experience in Healthcare industry. (preferred)

Responsibilities

• The primary role of the Laundry Assistant is to collect and sort soiled linen and clothing, load and unload machines, and fold clean linen and laundry.
• Count linen processed daily and make deliveries to assigned areas.
