Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health Turtle Lake is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to maintain hygiene and cleanliness by processing linens and garments for multiple departments.

You will operate commercial laundry equipment, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing textiles while following infection control guidelines and safety protocols. You will perform routine maintenance, report malfunctions, and maintain a sanitary, organized laundry area in a fast-paced hospital environment to support

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Experience operating commercial laundry equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control guidelines is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Linen Processing & Inventory: Launder linens according to infection control standards.
• Safe Transportation: Transport contaminated linens using covered carts per health regulations.
• Sanitation & Biohazard Control: Dispose of biohazards and maintain a clean workspace.
• Supply Management: Stock linen closets and department supply areas regularly.
• Equipment Maintenance: Run daily checks and report malfunctions.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance monitoring to uphold hospital standards.
