Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred (healthcare or hospitality experience is a plus).
• Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment.
• Knowledge of basic infection control and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Collect soiled linens, towels, and resident clothing from designated areas.
• Sort laundry according to type, color, and washing requirements.
• Operate commercial washers and dryers according to facility procedures.
• Fold, stack, and distribute clean laundry to resident rooms and facility departments.
• Ensure proper labeling and return of resident personal clothing.
• Follow infection control procedures when handling contaminated laundry.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
• Monitor and report equipment malfunctions to maintenance or supervisors.
• Maintain adequate supply of linens for resident care areas.
• Follow all safety procedures and proper handling of laundry chemicals.
• Assist with special laundry needs or requests as directed by supervisor.
